Cecchetti Ballet Exams

ATTN: EXAM CANDIDATES

ARRIVAL TIME:  Arrive 45 minutes prior to your exam to begin warming up.  See schedule below for your exam time.

HAIR:  To be worn in a slick performance bun with bangs pulled back.  Use lots of hairspray, bobby pins, and a hairnet.  Once you arrive at the studio, you can pin your headpiece on.  (Flower headpiece furnished by HAD.)

MAKEUP:  Light stage makeup should be worn.

LEOTARD:  Wear your class color leotard that matches your partner.  No rhinestones, bows, or excessive straps.  No skirts.

TIGHTS/SHOES:  Seamed, ballet pink tights and leather split sole ballet slippers are to be worn.  Pointe shoes for candidates Grades 7 & up.

NO jewelry, watches, nail polish, tattoos, and dental appliances.

STANDARD 1 CANDIDATES:  Will wear a white skirt (provided by HAD) during the workshops and exams and will wear their candidate number on the front and back of the leotard.

All other candidates wear 1 number only pinned to the front of the leotard on the right hip.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS:  Saturday, May 15, is the Cecchetti Celebration Tea.  All Cecchetti Ballet students are invited to attend. 

Exam results will be mailed home to each candidate approximately 1 month after the exam.   Schedule a conference with your child’s teacher if you would like further explanation of exam results.
