From the Director
Dear Parents and Students,
Time has flown by and we are in the final preparations of our year end June Recital 2009. This has been an exciting year at Huntington Academy with many fun performances and several new and interesting workshops!
With several hundred students performing over six shows, we need your help to make this June Recital a success! Remember to read the bulletin boards often, ask questions, attend all rehearsals and be present when your dancer receives his/her costume. Most classes will have one rehearsal at the studio, one rehearsal at the theater and perform in one show. If you are have questions, please ask! We are here to help! Recital information is posted on the HAD website: www.HuntingtonAcademyofDance.com
Congratulations to our Cecchetti ballet students for your recent exam success! Huntington Academy dancers consistently receive high marks on their ballet exams and this year is no exception. Congratulations to our newest Cecchetti ballet students; invitations will be sent home in May for the following dance season.
Summer will be busy at Huntington Academy! We have many fun camps and workshops this summer. Don’t miss out! Sign up early as class sizes are limited.
A BIG thank you to Marie Hoffman who has been teaching the musical theater class at HAD for many years! Students and parents cherish the memories she has created with past productions of Little Shop of Horrors, Lion King, & Hairspray to name a few . Miss Marie will be returning to HAD in the Fall to teach Modern. In the meantime, Bronwen Finta, will be taking over the Musical Theater classes and we look forward to working with her.
Troy and I are thrilled to announce we expecting our 2nd son in early August. I will be taking some time off from teaching this summer but will be in constant contact with the HAD faculty and staff. My HAD dancers are very important to me and I will be just an email or phone call away. I’ll be returning in the Fall, back to my regular teaching schedule.
Keep up the great work dancers! Now let’s do a show…or how about six?!
